フロントハブキャップ装着の際、事前にシリコーンを塗布してから装着されていたため内側の方にまわってました。さらにハブベアリングの回転に伴って引っ張られたシリコーンの断片がハブベアリングにくっついてました。

柔軟性があるからかベアリングに問題はなしでした。
とは言え気持ちのいい塗り方ではないと思いますので避けたい所ですね。
